Our “Big Shoes to Fill” campaign for Terry Fox was a huge success! Not only did we participate in our annual Terry Fox walk , we also tallied the result of our fundraising campaign and discovered we beat our goal, raising more than $1800 for cancer research. Wow!! Celebrations continued with an assembly after our walk which saw 2 staff members –Ms. McKay (Grade 6/7/8 Teacher) and Mrs. Tomlin (Principal) — cut their hair to donate to make wigs for cancer patients. Ms. McNamara and Mr. Hoare were also good sports by taking a whipped-cream pie in the face to celebrate beating our goal of raising $1500. It was a fantastic day and so great to see so much Spartan Spirit!!
