Re: Graduation and Grade 8 Year End Trip

We are excited to announce that Grade 8 students will have the opportunity to participate in an overnight trip to Ottawa, our nation’s capital!

The trip will only occur if the majority of Grade 8 students express interest in participating.

 

We would leave Monday, June 27 and return Wednesday June 29.

 

Any grade 8 students, who choose not to participate in the overnight trip, will be provided with community and team building activities at school as well as a trip to Bingeman Park.

 

We will hold an information night for Grade 8 parents on April 20, At 6pm.

 

The projected cost of the trip will be between $350 and $375.00 (dependent on the number of participants) and includes:

  • Luxury coach transportation
  • 2 breakfasts, 2 dinners
  • Hotel accommodation (4 to a room)
  • Parliament tour, National Gallery of Canada, Byward Market, Sussex Drive, Nepean Point, Canadian Museum of History, Canadian War museum, Canada Aviation and Space, IMAX, and dance social at Lone Star

 

To determine whether or not the trip will run and if so what the final cost will be, we need to establish the number of students interested in attending the trip and will require a $50.00 non-refundable deposit to confirm your child’s participation no later than Friday, April 21.

 

The final payment for the trip will be required no later than Friday, May 27th.

 

We will let you know the final cost once we have established the number of participants.

Please complete the following form and submit, along with the $50.00 non-refundable deposit, to your child’s homeroom teacher no later than April 21, 2016.

If any student is unable to participate in the trip due to financial difficulties, please contact the school administration or your child’s teacher.
