This update is to inform you of your child’s involvement in the upcoming Track and Field Day at Southwood Secondary School. This is a full day event that takes place on Thursday May 18. This is not an optional day as it is part of your child’s Physical and Health Education Program. All students are expected to attend for the full day. It is a day for some physical activity, school spirit, fun and assessment.

Students are to meet at Southwood on the morning or the 18th, between 8:20 am and 8:30 for Attendance and opening instructions. Students who ride the bus will get dropped off and picked up at Southwood. Students will be dismissed from Southwood at the regular dismissal time of 2:50 pm.
Students are to bring:
lunch
water bottle
water/fluids
hat
sunscreen
clothes for all types of weather
proper athletic footwear
gym uniform or acceptable alternative
*no tents please*
The day will go ahead unless there is thunder/lightening. Rain date May 19.

Parents/guardians are welcome to come and watch.

Track and field is rain or shine tomorrow, IN THE EVENT that it is canceled due to thunderstorms, an announcement will be put on School Day and the website.
